Australian Olympic kayaking champion Ken Wallace set himself up for a second gold medal in as many meets by qualifying fastest for the K1 500 final at the Canoeing World Cup in Racice, Czech Republic.
Wallace won gold by just 0.01 seconds a week ago in Hungary and on Friday overcame tough cross winds and an outside lane to qualify four seconds ahead of his closest opponent.
He'll be joined in Sunday's final by current Australian surf lifesaving champion, Lachlan Tame.
Wallace won gold in the K1 500 at the Beijing Olympics, the last time the event was included on the Olympic program.
